Introduction to Unwinding Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn and experience “Unwinding”, which is the body’s natural ability to spontaneously release stress, tension, trauma by softening hardened muscles and fascia.

By bringing the body out of the freeze response, you can activate this natural state of self-healing. In this workshop, we will focus specifically on releasing the psoas, a core muscle chronically tight from stress that causes lower back and hip pain.

Unwinding Level 1

This 4-week course is all about learning and deepening the practice of Unwinding. You will learn the following:

  • Week 1 – Nervous System Basics: Vagus nerve + breathwork for nervous system regulation, as well as an introduction to unwinding the psoas

  • Week 2 – Deepen the Psoas Release: Further learn and experience how to activate spontaneous movement to release deeply held tension in the lower back and hips

  • Week 3 – Expand Unwinding: Learn full-body techniques to deepen your practice and unwind tension throughout the body

  • Week 4 – Full Body Unwinding: Integrate all of the tools learned to experience unwinding at it’s deepest level yet

Unwinding Level 2
