Ready for a shift? Answer these questions…

I’m going to start with a gentle reminder to breathe. Not later, but now. Take one big inhale, hold it for a few seconds, then let it all go.

This year has already been such a catalyst for change and, ironically, the moment we begin to feel the natural stress of that, self-care is the first to go.

We no longer have the time, energy, or money to take care of ourselves…that’s for when things calm down, right?!

While there are endless sources of stress quite literally taking our breath away, for the sake of this email, I am going to toss them all into two categories.

  1. Stress from circumstances we can do absolutely nothing about

  2. Stress from circumstances we absolutely can do something about but aren’t because of [FEAR in the blank]

I am here to help you with category two by first asking some of what I like to call “bandaid rip” questions.

Riddle me this…

  • How much less chronic tension would you have if you said no to what is no longer working?

  • How much less stress would you feel if you made the changes you already know you need to make?

  • How much more peace might be available to you if you stopped carrying everyone else’s needs and made room for your own?

Through my bodywork practice, unwinding classes and workshops, one truth is clear:

People heal to the level in which they are willing to release what no longer serves them, as well as make the necessary changes in their environment and behavior that support their highest good (and authentic self).

Yes, I treat physical and emotional pain rooted in trauma — but I also treat A LOT of pain that comes from overworking, people pleasing, and ignoring what the soul has been begging for.

Stop sacrificing your health and sanity for the sake of keeping peace with others, and never underestimate how one small step (or “no”) can shift your entire life.

Here is an action step to get you started:

What is one small thing you can let go of, step away from, or say no to this week that supports your highest good and most authentic self?

And while you go through this process…remember to breathe :)
