Get in, loser...we're taking our lives back!

In 2013, I made the brave decision to slowly wean off of the anxiety medication I’d been taking for about 10 years (oh hi btw, just dove ALL in on ya there).

My reason for doing this was that I wanted to learn the tools to manage my anxiety on my own.

I had no idea quite how intense of a journey I had signed up for…and I definitely had no idea my entire career would someday be guiding others through the tools that I found.

Just kinda saying… I’ve been there.

Your racing, worried mind. Your sleepless nights. Your mercilessly tight shoulders. Your burnout. Your breakdowns. Even your moments you’re certain it will never, ever get better.

I am here as support and a guide. Not one that’s pure and perfect, ha!

But one that’s used these tools to get through the worst and continues to use these tools to navigate what it feels like to be a human on this planet right now.

Hot Air Balloons

While driving to my Body Memory Recall practitioner training (a version of somatic bodywork that I began my career with seemingly forever ago) in beautiful Sedona, Arizona, I had an epiphany.

I was staying in nearby Cottonwood—my favorite place due to its low traffic, charming antique shops, and brisket tacos I never, EVER, got enough of.

Driving into Sedona early one morning, I saw about five hot air balloons floating in the stunning sunrise, giving these crazy bastards up there probably the most gorgeous view they’ll ever see.

My mind wandered to the hot air balloon guide…who just, like, does this. Over and over. Now personally, that’s my worst nightmare. Fire and fabric…what are we doing? I’m happy for them for following their dreams, though…so I digress.

My point is this: As a hot air balloon guide, they don’t float up there and throw down a ladder for you.

And they don’t just tell someone how to get up there and send them on their way while they sit in a lawn chair.

They say, “I’ve done this before. I will guide you. We’ll go together.”

That is the kind of guide I want to be when it comes to helping others go through the process of transforming their lives from what is no longer working into the life of their dreams.

Hot Tools

I’ve long ago released the idea we “arrive” at any place of permanent peace. Sure, we can apparently access such states via enlightenment, but maybe I’ll save that for my next lifetime.

In this version of life, I signed up for the experiential package, where I get to wear a fanny pack, scarf, and tennis shoes to I explore caverns of raw human emotion in order to return with guidance, tools, and wisdom to share (after I pull myself together).

My most recent tools are, in fact, hot out of the oven (or hot air balloon flame thrower towards FABRIC—again, what are we doing??)

I recently hit one of the grandest bouts of burnout I had yet the privilege of meeting. It was so intense, if you asked me to describe it, I couldn’t.

I experienced it, but it was almost like I wasn’t there. It felt like weeks of being drained, lost, exhausted, and starving for cookies.

Alas!! I emerged from the cavern, tools in hand, and boy, am I excited to share them with you.

Get in, loser.

I’m offering a new opportunity as your guide through the process of healing burnout and feeling absolutely crisped. This is a previous course of mine that is near and dear to my heart…but has been drastically modified to better suit the delicate state of burnout many of us are in today.

Specifically, this course used to be 8 weeks, but half of us can’t imagine a life so far away because we’re so effing fried, so I’m holding a softer space of 4 weeks.

I will guide you through slowly dropping the 14 grocery bags you’re holding, take a breath, and reconnect with the joy, passion, and peace that is inherently yours…but got buried under tasks, demands, and the pressures of this planet.

We will explore thought work, meditation, journaling, breathwork, and somatic movement to help you shed layers of busyness and depletion so that you can open to becoming who you are meant to be.

My goodness, the world needs you…the you that you came here to be.

But ya know what…I think that even more than that, YOU need you.

If you need help in that process, I am here. And rest assured, I will NOT put you in a basket of fire that floats in the sky. What are we doiiing.
